Class of 2013
Duke is widely recognized as the premier university for undergraduate prehealth education. Each year about a third of the entering First Year class at Duke designate that they will take the premed/prehealth course requirements in addition to their major. And each year Duke’s graduating seniors, representing a wide range of majors, enter the medical school of their choice at an acceptance rate that has averaged around 85% for those who matriculate upon graduation.
Duke University, working together with Duke University School of Medicine and Duke University Medical Center, provides exceptional academic and experiential opportunities to prepare our outstanding students for a range of careers in medicine. Guiding your path through preparing and then applying is the Office of Health Professions Advising team.
Your journey begins at the Academic Advising Center (AAC) on East Campus where Prehealth Advisors will help you to navigate your first two years at Duke. Once you become a junior, you will work with the advising team on West Campus. Our goal is to support you in your career choices in the health professions.
